Gayle from @thecottagebythebridge has transformed her 1980's dated bathroom into a truly stunning, country-inspired space. Keen to accentuate the original features of the cottage, Gayle picked traditional Widcombe sanitaryware, the timeless Harrow double ended bath and Keswick brassware, creating a warm and inviting space.
"After renovating the rest of our 350 year old cottage, the dated 1980’s bathroom addition/extension to the cottage was in desperate need of an update.
My brief was to add authentic character in a country style to tie together with the features of the original cottage, creating a warm but bright space, paired with my love for natural materials.
Timber cladding, reclaimed Elm and a limestone herringbone floor were the jumping off point for a classic design with a rustic vibe, creating the perfect backdrop for the traditional pieces selected from the roper Rhodes timeless collection, adding an elegant touch."
"The renovation has been a challenging and lengthy process, and despite the large room, the layout design was a challenge in itself to accommodate my long wish list. Every detail from layout to the finishing touches has been meticulously thought through, creating a fresh but warm and inviting space with a good flow and use of space."
